THE PURSUIT
The photograph is only part of the story. The Pursuit follows what happens before the shutter is released — the planning, travel, darkness, uncertainty, solitude, failed attempts and occasional moments when everything comes together.
I am drawn to the experience of being somewhere before the photograph exists.
Planning creates the best possible conditions. It does not guarantee the photograph.
The technical process matters, but it is never the subject. The image comes first.
The photograph is the destination. The pursuit is everything that makes getting there worthwhile.
The Pursuit brings these journeys together through short films, field notes and photographic stories — following the planning, travel, conditions, setbacks and decisions behind the final images. Selected episodes are published on YouTube, with additional photographs and context shared here.
