Architecture gives me a different way to explore many of the same ideas that shape my landscape work.

I am drawn to symmetry, scale, negative space and the way light can transform a built environment. Rather than simply documenting a structure, I look for compositions that reduce it to something more graphic, abstract or unexpected.

A facade can become rhythm. A staircase can become geometry. A shadow can divide a building into shape and tone.

Perspective, compression and light become ways of revealing something within the built environment that may not be obvious at first glance.
