PEOPLE
Presence, character and a sense of place.
Photographing people brings the camera closer, but the way I approach the image remains much the same. I am interested in light, atmosphere, environment and the relationship between a subject and the space around them. The strongest portraits, for me, are not only about appearance. They carry a sense of who the person is, what they are doing, or where they belong.
This collection brings together portraiture, editorial work, movement and travel encounters. Some images are carefully directed. Others are quieter and more observational. Across them, I look for expression, gesture and connection — while allowing the environment to remain part of the photograph rather than simply becoming a background.
More than a portrait.
I am particularly drawn to people engaged in something meaningful to them — movement, work, travel, practice or simply a quiet moment within a place. That context adds another layer to the photograph. The person remains central, but the surrounding world helps tell the story.
