FLIGHT & MOTION
Engineering, speed and movement.
Aviation has always carried a strong visual language. Aircraft combine engineering, scale, speed and precision, but what interests me photographically is what happens when those qualities are translated into movement. I look for moments where shape, light and motion come together — turning a technical subject into something more expressive.
Some photographs isolate form and detail. Others depend entirely on motion — blurred backgrounds, changing angles, vapour, light, distance or the brief geometry created as an aircraft moves through space. The subject may be mechanical, but the photograph is still driven by timing, composition and atmosphere.
Photographing energy rather than simply recording flight.
